From Lebanese background, Wassim Halal has developed a strong connection with popular musics. By this way he discovered turkish gypsy and afterwards folk and modern improvised musics . His curiosity leads him to work on differents rhythmical systems, and to explore sounds of percussions. He is interested in different types of improvised musics and often works with artists of various backgrounds (Erwan Keravec , Laurent Clouet, Benjamin Efrati, Diego Verastegui, Anil eraslan, Gregory Dargent, David Brossier …. )
His sound is fuelled by all his meetings and his desire of discovering new musical worlds.
