NYC Summer 2022 Festivals and Cultural Events!

The NYC Summer of Culture is Here!

Celebrate with FREE, Outdoor Festivals and Events

“New York’s neighborhoods come alive in the summer, and a big part of the community, joy, and excitement we experience comes from the arts and culture that invigorates every corner of our city. Many of these cultural performances and festivals are returning for the first time since the pandemic, another powerful sign of our city’s vibrancy, vitality, and ongoing recovery.” – NYC Department of Cultural Affairs Commissioner Laurie Cumbo

NYC is a world capital for art, culture, media, and entertainment, and summer presents countless opportunities for residents and visitors to explore outdoor arts programming against the greatest backdrop in the world – New York City. As the city continues to recover from the pandemic, and New Yorkers look for ways to reconnect with their communities, our unparalleled cultural programs will play a critical role. Below are just a few of the (completely FREE) outdoor festivals, concerts, screenings, and exhibitions happening across the five boroughs this summer. NYC & Co Summer Guide

For even more summer activities across the five boroughs, check out NYC & Company’s Summer Guide. Summer in the City always feels magical. As sun lovers return to beaches and parks in all five boroughs, alfresco diners dominate the sidewalks; meanwhile, outdoor concerts, films, and festivals are in full swing. And of course, there are the major warm-weather attractions, so go spot a snow leopard at the Bronx Zoo, catch a foul ball at Citi Field or take a ride on the wooden tracks of the Cyclone roller coaster at Coney Island—still thrilling after all these years.
